The second trailer for Jonathan Liebesman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an improvement, but for someone who’s been eager for a new live-action Ninja Turtles movie since the early ’90s, I expected that seeing the gang back on-screen and in a real-world setting would have had a more exhilarating effect. There are strong moments and visuals here, so perhaps the problem is weak editing more than anything else, and if that is the case, the film’s marketing campaign has a whole three months to fix it. But for now, Ninja Turtlesmust forgo trailer top honors and defer to six others more worthy of the title.

They Came Together: If A Haunted House and Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer expired your patience for spoof movies, try to hang on for just one more go because based on this new trailer, it looks as though They Came Together has a fresh spin on satire that could be worth your while. Not only is the movie loaded with top-notch talent, but the material also bears a more honest, textured quality that grounds the jokes more so than most.
